Opt-in is through the website. Users sign up by entering their phone number in the registration form on meetmartie.com. By submitting the form, they consent to receive text messages from Martie. Registration is currently invite-only.

Who receives messages

Only users who have submitted the sign-up form on the website receive messages. The service is currently invite-only — registration is limited to family members directly invited by the operator.

How consent is established

Users provide their mobile phone number via the sign-up form at meetmartie.com. Before submitting, they must check a consent checkbox confirming they agree to receive automated text messages. The form also displays consent language explaining the nature of messages, frequency, rates, and opt-out instructions. Users must affirmatively check the box and submit the form to opt in.

Consent language displayed at the time of sign-up:

"I agree to receive automated text messages from Martie at the phone number provided. I understand message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and I can reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time."

What the messages are

Two-way and user-initiated: a family member texts a question about the calendar, and Martie replies.
Martie also sends reminders that a family member has explicitly requested.
No marketing, promotional, or bulk messages.
